The Benefits of Focusing on Positive Vibrations – How to Attract Good Energy

You are more than a physical body! Although we run around in meat suits, humans are vibrational beings, giving off negative or positive vibrations. And no, this is not some fantasy.

Recent research says every nonliving and living creature vibrates at different frequencies. You are lighter and healthier or experience frequent illnesses, depending on whether you vibrate at a higher or lower frequency.

Interestingly, you can deliberately alter your vibration and attract people, events, and situations that match the vibe you give off.

In this article, I’ll explain exactly how you can change your vibration to attract good energy and emotions. But first, let’s briefly discuss the benefits of maintaining positive vibrations.

Focusing On Positive Vibrations: Why Should You Bother?

Why should you bother about vibrations, frequencies, energies, and similar abstract concepts? Do these things offer any real benefits, or are they a share waste of time?

Indeed, vibrational energy cannot be seen, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be felt or measured. You’ve probably felt uplifted just by spending a few minutes with an optimistic individual. Although you didn’t see the energy, you felt the physical impact.

The same goes for negative energy, only it works in the opposite way, leaving you drained, stressed, or overwhelmed.

Consistently focusing on things that can raise your vibration has been shown to improve positive mental attitudes, which is a precursor to many benefits.

A 2018 study linked positive mental attitudes to lower mortality over a 35-year period. The study also found that people with a positive outlook on life are more likely to follow a healthy lifestyle.

Other benefits associated with maintaining positive vibrations include:

  • Better relationships: A great attitude makes social interactions smother with fewer conflicts or misunderstandings. You hardly take things personally, and that makes for great interpersonal relationships.
  • Less stress: Optimism helps you see challenges for what they really are; temporary setbacks. This positive mindset makes you less likely to worry or stress over what others consider obstacles. Instead, you are generally happy, regardless of the situation.
  • Increased resilience: People who cultivate positive attitudes are more likely to keep things in perspective when faced with obstacles. They understand that things won’t always go as planned, but that’s not enough to derail them from reaching their goals.
  • Boosts productivity: Maintaining a high vibrational frequency increases your energy levels, making you more alert to your duties and responsibilities.

Now, let’s turn our attention to practical things you can start to do right away to raise your vibration and attract good energy into your life.

Practical Ways to Raise Your Vibration and Attract Good Energy

Attracting good energy does not necessarily require religious or mystic rituals, so breathe easy if you’re not into healing stones, crystals, chakra cleansing, or other similar practices.

I’ll only share simple, everyday ways to focus on positive vibrations and bring good experiences into your life.

1. Meditate

Meditation is one of the most recognized high-vibrational activities with beneficial effects on physical and emotional well-being.

Sit in silence and focus on your breath for several minutes. Doing this shifts your attention from stress-causing thoughts crowding your mind. This helps quiet the mind and raise your vibration.

Many people practice meditation in the morning or evening, and that’s okay. But don’t limit yourself to these times, especially if you are new to the practice.

Try shorter meditations (5 to 10 minutes) several times daily to help you maintain high vibrations throughout the day.

2. Practice Positive Self-Talk

Work on your inner conversations. It’s much easier to vibrate consistently on higher frequencies once you get your self-talk right.

Tell yourself how amazing you are and affirm the positive aspects of your life, no matter your flaws and shortcomings.

Stand in front of a mirror and say the words out loud. It may sound ridiculous at first but do it anyway.

Practice this as often as possible to increase your self-esteem and self-belief. You can easily attract and seize opportunities with a strong belief in your abilities.

3. Walk in Nature

Something about being in natural, serene surroundings have been shown to lower stress levels and improve mood ― two factors necessary for raising vibration.

Take breaks from man-made environments and spend time in nature every now and then. Don’t worry if you’re not exactly an outdoorsy person. A walk through the neighborhood or community park can offer significant psychological benefits.

4. Do Good for Others

That good feeling you get when you do something nice for another person is what positive vibration feels like. Doing random acts of kindness for strangers or people you know moves your focus from whatever challenges you may have and draws your attention to touch someone else in a good way.

Besides feeling good and lifting your mood, doing something good for others increases your sense of self-worth and self-esteem.

5. Take Mental Breaks

Everyday stressors can leave you drained, and that’s not the state you want to be in if you want to attract good energy.

Whenever you feel stressed, recognize it as a sign that you’re vibrating at a lower frequency and attracting negative energy.

Stop the negative attraction by doing something ― anything ― to give your mind a break from the feeling of overwhelm. Take a nap if you must, go for a walk, or disconnect from technology.

6. Hang Around Positive People

Upbeat people have a positive influence, just as pessimistic individuals can pull you down energetically.

Of course, it is not practical to completely cut off all negative people at home, work, or school. But you can spend more time with positive people.

Be deliberate when choosing friends and people you hang out with. Remember, happiness and stress are both contagious ― the former will raise your vibration, while the latter will lower it.

7. Practice Gratitude

Practicing genuine gratitude is one of the quickest ways to get into a higher vibrational state. Counting your blessings instantly shifts your focus to the good in your life, regardless of any less-than-desirable situations around you.

Develop a habit of making a list of people, things, and circumstances you are thankful for when you wake up in the morning or before you go to bed at night.

Practicing gratitude in the morning sets a positive tone for the day, allowing you to attract good energy throughout the day. And when you do it at night, you end the day on a positive note, immersing your mind and body in positive energy before drifting off to sleep.

8. Keep a Journal

Make it a habit to record your thought processes in a journal. You can keep an affirmation journal, have one centered on gratitude, or whatever theme you want. Just make sure it is something positive and uplifting rather than a place where you collect dark thoughts.

Whatever positive theme you decide to journal about, try to be consistent, doing it daily or as often as possible.

How does journaling help raise your vibration?

Simple!

The very act of writing positive thoughts in a flow state keeps your attention fixed on positive vibrations.

It’s not difficult to see how this practice can help create a generally positive attitude and attract good energy if you do it almost every morning or evening.

9. Do Physical Exercise

Moderate to high-intensity exercise has many physical and psychological benefits, including mood elevation and reducing anxiety. That’s because physical exercise releases chemicals in the brain that eases negative feelings and makes you feel good.

And once you shift your focus from stressors for a considerable time, you raise your vibrations without even realizing it.

10. Practice Mindfulness

Stop wasting your energy and start conserving it by mindfully moving through your day. Of course, it may be impractical to be present in everything you do, considering many of our actions are on autopilot.

But be deliberate about slowing down and avoid rushing through your day.

Perhaps you could try practicing mindfulness for 10 to 15 minutes several times a day. Tell yourself, “I’m going to slow down and be present for the next 15 minutes.”

Do that as many times as you can throughout the day, and it will become a habit before long.

Here’s another thing to keep in mind.

Your creative energy is in the present moment, not sometime in the future, and definitely not in the “good old days,” no matter how perfect the past was.

Stay in the “now” and take in all that’s happening. Right here and now is where all the positive energies are focused.

Final Thoughts

Focusing on positive vibrations has many physical and mental health benefits. Also, it helps you develop positive attitudes that make for a more meaningful and happier life.

I’ll leave you with this:

There’s nothing mysterious about attracting good energy. Positive people, desirable outcomes, happy circumstances, and supportive relationships are just a few ways good energy manifests.

Once you grasp this, embracing the practices shared in this article for raising your vibration and attracting good energy becomes easier.
